Nonstante the hardware requirements needed to run Windows Vista have been made public, Microsoft has released a utility called "Upgrade Advisor" (currently in Beta) that, a good spin on the computer which would install the new version of Windows, able to make a crawl coverage by generating a report showing any compatibility issues with appropriate suggestions for solving them.
