The Da Vinci Code, and the book banned
We speak all… at least one post here is because (then it goes without saying that this is all free advertising that will benefit only Dan Brown).
I think Mr. Brown was able to build a novel can provide an explanation of the origins of the Church based on conspiracy and sull'inganno architettati by a group of men (former followers of Christ) whose sole purpose was to conquer and keep for 2000 years a kind of power over people or better still on the minds. The fact is that all scholars (both believers who atheists) have agreed to consider all sources cited by Brown as totally unreliable and inaccurate, but I believe this is not the point: the book has done and continues to discuss a lot of people ( not to mention what it is not looking for in net)…
I think people are interested not so much that the view of Brown is reliable or not: what many seek (and who found in Da Vinci Code) is the opportunity to discredit and criticise the Church for every possible way imaginable. By setting the novel to Content, the Church has simply wanted to make a gesture with which took a stand against the contents of the book: we are all free to have a say in our ways that we believe more correct, but when we test the Church here is that all they turn against… But why?
If the Church is designed to maintain and preserve the unchanging message of Christ and tries to defend it with all its forces because it has to be accused of obscurantism, bigotry, theocracy, whenever pronounced and expresses its position?
Brown for his part was very clever to exploit to his advantage quest'astio more or less latent against the Church and as evidenced by the fact that already some years ago had tried to launch another novel "Angels and demons" which is aligned so at times ridiculous the construction of the Da Vinci Code, then in fact "Angels and demons" bought visibility (at least here in Italy) only after the release of The Da Vinci Code.
