Hide your secret files in JPG images

Need a quick and easy to hide your private files without having to install special programs for encoding or encryption? You need to send via email to a friend trusted a document containing confidential information like passwords or bank details? A particularly smart to hide files within a JPG image!
Here in detail the simple steps to follow:

  • First you need:
    1) WinRar
    2) A JPG (within which to hide your confidential files) such as the one that follows and call it "foto_segreta.jpg"
    Photos Secret
    3) to hide files called "dati_privati.txt"
  • Create a RAR archive containing the files to hide and save it as "dati_privati.rar."
  • Create the folder "c: \ secret" and placed inside the image is "foto_segreta.jpg" is the RAR file "dati_privati.rar."
    Folder
  • Now you have access to MS-DOS Prompt: select "Start => Run, type" cmd.exe "and date" OK "
  • From Prompt type "cd c: \ secret" to go to the folder with the two files and then type "copy / b foto_segreta.jpg + dati_privati.rar tramonto.jpg." At this point the file "tramonto.jpg" will also contain your data secret.
    Prompt
  • Now for the test period: Take the file "tramonto.jpg", try to open it with a program for viewing images. You will see that the picture will be displayed safely and without problems. Now try to open it with WinRAR and see, I think with some amazement, that in this case the file "tramonto.jpg" opens like a RAR archive containing compressed files originally "dati_privati.txt"!

Here you can see the file "tramonto.jpg" I generate: save it on your PC and try to open it with WinRAR to see with your eyes as described above!

  1. By opening the image with a text display as SciTE are at the bottom of the secret data (unencrypted). So even if it is a nice way to hide the information would put not ever bank details and even passwords!

  3. I found a program called Under Picture
    This is the link http://www.underpicture.com/
Used to hide text messages in images.
Useful even for those who want to add a signature (invisible) to their photos. But after you added the message, the image can be saved only in bmp
